Randy Moore, a lawyer who has filed hundreds of ADA lawsuits in California, told both NBC Bay Area and NPR that business owners’ complaints are disparaging to disabled plaintiffs who are, in fact, civil rights activists sticking up for the right to real physical access to establishments.
Moore is vice chair of the Disabilities Caucus of the California Democratic Party.
Contacted by an associate, the chair of the Disabilities Caucus,
Ruthee Goldkorn, about Moore and his efforts to harass small business owners.
This is what we got from Goldkorn
I don't care
If Moore does not do it in Southern California, I am not aware of it
Moore can do what he wants
Why should I care what Randy Moore does to small businesses owners
Never heard of Parents helping Parents
If I don't know about it, it does not exist
So Tanya and Randy Moore can drive around California, hassling Mom and Pop businesses collecting money for filing lawsuits, and in Santa Clara, Randy and Tanya, who remind us of Boris and Natasha, can attempt to bankrupt a small business owner with a son who is in a wheelchair and Ruth says
I don't care
NOTE TO RUTH GOLDKORN
ARE YOU LISTENING, MS. DISABLED CAUCUS CHAIR
LOOK AT WHO RANDY AND TANYA MOOORE
SUED FIVE YEARS AGO
A DISABLED BUSINESS OWNER
GOLDKORN SHOULD RESIGN FOR SUPPORTING RANDY MOORE WHO EVEN SUES THE DISABLED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although Doughnuts To Go owner Lee Ky has been confined to a wheelchair all her life, her Reedley business was recently sued for for not being compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Doughnuts To Go is part of a wave of ADA lawsuits to hit Reedley businesses in the past six months. All were filed by Moore Law Firm in San Jose which has also filed suit against dozens of businesses in Fresno, Clovis and Sanger. Bobby Salazar’s restaurant in Reedley was forced to close its doors, allegedly due to a costly ADA lawsuit. Kentucky Fried Chicken in Reedley was among those sued by the law firm.
“They are just nit-picking and making the disabled community look bad,” Ky said. “It’s been tough on us, but we can’t increase our prices for that. We are here for the community. We can’t say ‘I’m sorry, but we have to increase the price of our doughnuts because of a lawsuit.’”
At 44-years old, Ky said she was born with cerebral palsy and has been in a wheelchair her entire life. At any given time, customers will find Ky at Doughnuts To Go working alongside her employees. She said accessibility has never been an issue for her at the business.
“I see both worlds, and it’s stereotyping to me,” she said.
Ky said she was given no prior warning of the lawsuit and was not aware that her business was being targeted. She said she was caught completely off-guard.
Ky said someone representing the Moore Law Firm came into the shop and handed the lawsuit to one of her employees while she was in Fresno doing errands. She said her employee called her and notified her of the p
